I’ve lived here for about two years and never saw a reason to move other than a general dislike of this part of town. I would, however, like to address some of the concerns other people have been having. I work with local law enforcement in the surrounding community, and I can tell you first hand that 54 Magnolia is one of the more secure locations in the Tinseltown area. Yes, the gates were open for a good amount of time in 2016, but since the system was replaced, they’ve been one of the only consistently secured entrances in the area. People do jump the gates, but that occurs at any location that isn’t protecting national security. From experience, I can tell you that way less crime and general disruption happens here than some of the surrounding communities that call themselves “secure” and have 24-hour security presence. I’ve accidentally left windows in cars open and keys in doors for a full day and, thankfully, never had any issues. For the area, this community is safe. The management seems to vet their new tenants well, and I have never had the issues with altercations on this property that I see other places.

As for noise, I have never really had an issue with neighbors. I never see most of them, and the only problems I’ve had were when a group of college guys lived above me for a few months. They were loud, but those kinds of things are to be expected when you’re living in a multi-family community, and I don’t see how that is the management’s fault. I was a little wary when I first moved in due to reviews about bugs, but honestly I’ve been here a while and aside from the sugar ants that show up all over Florida certain times of the year, I’ve never had a problem. Very occasionally I will get a roach or lizard that wandered in from outside, but in this state if it isn’t swarms of things, I’m happy.

I haven’t had a chance to really enjoy the amenities, but the pool area always looks nice. The gym is small and I wouldn’t go in the morning when its full, but it has good cardio equipment, a nice heavy bag, and is open and empty at night. Parking is kind of a pain, but has usually emptied out by the time I get home from work in the morning, and if not the overflow parking always has space that isn’t too far from my building. Trash pickup is awesome, and they’ve got a system that looks way better than some other communities who just pile trash bags outside their buildings for pick-up. I try to be diligent about getting my can in before the cut-off time, so I haven’t gotten fined yet, but honestly they gave people a bunch of time to get used to the new system before issuing citations. Getting in and out of the gates during rush hour is a pain, but this whole area backs up around that time, so you just have to get used to it.

Management is always super friendly and never complains when I run them ragged looking for 87 different Amazon packages. I’ve had some issues with the Post Office delivering here, but that’s just the USPS being terrible in the area. Management gives a bunch of notice if they are going to be entering your apartment, and as long as you aren’t ruining the community for everyone else, generally let you get away with a few minor things. The maintenance guys have a good team and get things done quickly when you put in a request. The apartments are nice and nothing is really falling apart. Rent is expensive, but it’s high in this part of town anyway, and I am happy to pay a bit extra to not have to worry about people breaking into my place or the building falling down around me.

Basically, if you’re going to live in the area, this is a pretty chill place to be. I’ve seen other complexes in the Tinseltown, and never got the urge to move.
